Nói "hư cấu" nhưng đều dựa vào những sự kiện có thật trong cuộc sống vì không một đạo học, tư tưởng, triết lý hay thơ, truyện nào mà không liên quan đến cuộc sống. Tuyển tập bao gồm những chủ đề như Tự ái của con người, diễn dịch ý chỉ của thần linh theo ý muốn của giáo sĩ, ảo tưởng về sự thành thật, nỗi buồn của Thần Chết, ảo tưởng của con người về một thế giới toàn là tu sĩ, thân phận của đàn ông khoảng nửa thế kỷ sau, cuộc sống ở Thiên Đàng ra sao. Và sau hết là một số chuyện ma để mua vui cho đời. Tuyển tập này mất ít ra mười lăm năm mới hoàn tất. Nguyên do là vì tác giả quá tham lam, dành nhiều thì giờ cho các đề tài bình luận chính trị và đôi khi bí đề tài. Bí đề tài không có nghĩa là không có đề tài. Chuyện đời thì đầy rẫy, nhưng không tìm ra tư tưởng hay triết lý cho đề tài đó. Rất mong tuyển tập này không phụ lòng mong đợi của độc giả. Book Summary From Author This book is a collection of short stories, all of which are imaginary, contemplative and philosophical. Though imaginary, all the stories are based partly on real-life stories. Actually, all religions, all thought systems, and all philosophies must be related to life; so do poetry and fictional writings. This book covers several topics such as human pride, the divine will as explained by priests, the illusion of truthfulness, the sorrows of God of death, the human illusion about a world for priests only, the sadness of male humans in their second-half lives, the way of life in heaven... And lastly, some ghost stories for fun. It took the author fifteen years to finish this book. The reason is that I was repeatedly busy for writing political essays, and sometimes I had writer's block, in which I intended to write a short story but I found its topic did not have any thoughtful or philosophical meaning. I wish this collection of short stories would satisfy so many readers.
