Broughton, Richard: - Richard Broughton has a PhD on habitat modelling and the ecology of Marsh Tits and is now a professional ecologist with 20 years of extensive research experience of birds and mammals in forest and farmland habitats, particularly in Britain and Poland. He is a widely published authority on the ecology and identification of Marsh Tits and Willow Tits, and runs and collaborates on long-term monitoring projects involving these species. He is currently employed at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, and is experienced in public speaking and engagement, and writing for a range of audiences. Richard sits on several editorial boards for scientific journals and 'citizen science' magazines, and has close links with the RSPB and BTO.
