As a writer, Rann's work on the topics of culturally relevant pedagogy and culturally responsive teaching is published in Edutopia, Education Week, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. As a scholar, Rann's work on the topics of the disproportionate disciplining of Black students and Black educator motivations is peer-reviewed and published in various scholarly journals. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and resides in Sicklerville, NJ.
