Allen, Rosemary: - Rosemary Allen has been writing on and off all her life. When her children left home, she took an English and media degree as a full-time mature student and then taught at the local College of Further Education. She has written around a dozen short stories, including The Onion Man, which was read on Radio 4. After she retired, she wrote her first novel, Listening to Brahms, about the ability of music to evoke memories of the past. She lives in Dorset, near her large, extended family.
