Cat Avery's world revolved around "The 10 Ranch". Five years ago, Cat's twin brother Colton, her only sibling, left the ranch they grew up on. The sassy tomboy wondered if she would ever see him again. When trouble heads to the ranch stirring up problems for her and her family, she went to search for him, to no avail. With the railroad being made and possibly cattle rustlers encroaching on their ten thousand acres it comes down to Cat Avery and her grandfather and the cattle hands to protect what they hold dearest to them. Cat is a force to reckon with, and someone else seems to want this thing she values most. Born in a small rural town in the countryside of Kansas, and being the youngest of her family with three older brothers she was no stranger to dirt roads or honest work. Moving to Oklahoma in her twenties she enjoyed the country lifestyle. Raising horses, and cattle all year round, with a summertime garden. When she wasn't working or living the lifestyle, she spent time writing stories, painting, and traveling across the United States learning all kinds of history. Having a particularly soft spot for the Western 1800s history.
