By this he means that foundational principles are historically religious in nature, and a functioning secular state needs to recognize them. These principles include human dignity, the sanctity of life, freedom, justice and equality. The Biblical Christian Worldview - 2016 traces these themes through a tumultuous Presidential election year and asks this question: What roles do Christians need to play in our pluralistic society while maintaining allegiance to this most important message in the gospel: You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important. Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based upon these two commandments.
