The "Cherry Tree" story hold significance to many Americans and has been used though out American history and education to convey the importance of the principles of honesty and trust to many a reader. However, not all interpret Weems proverb the same. In contrast, Moorish American history reveals a sinister side of the meaning housed within the immortal "Cherry Tree" story.
