Nota autorilor de la începutul cărții m-a făcut deja curios. Christiana Figueres (fiica fostului președinte din Costa Rica (în trei rânduri)) și Tom Rivett-Carnac (un susțînător al Convenției-cadru a Organizației Națiunilor Unite privind schimbările climatice și autorul politicii privind schimbările climatice) descriu modul în care s-au găsit și s-au hotărât să conlucreze la aceasta carte.
În prima parte a cărții, autorii vorbesc despre convenția de la Paris și asumarea responsabilității celor 195 de state de a reduce emisiile gazelor cu efect de sera până la anumite termene limita.
Este prezentat și drumul parcurs pentru a ajunge la aceasta convenție. Un drum foarte anevoios, care a trecut prin eșecul din Copenhaga, dar a fost un succes la Paris în ciuda atentatelor care au avut loc cu doar o săptămână în urma.
În partea a doua a cărții, autorii recomanda 10 acțiuni concrete pe care fiecare dintre noi ar trebui să le realizam într-o măsură considerabila, pentru ca în viitorul planetei noastre să aparem și noi, oamenii.
Recomand tuturor celor care se gândesc la schimbările climatice din prezent și vor că acestea să nu fie și mai agresive în viitor.
