Porter, Chip: - A native of Atlanta Georgia, Chip graduated from Pace Academy in Atlanta in 1977. A student athlete, Chip was recruited to play golf at Odessa College in Odessa, Texas. In 1979, Chip decided to transfer back to the southeast to continue his collegiate career at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. Chip graduated in 1981 from PC with a BA in History. For two years after graduation, Chip played professional golf on the Florida mini tours. Successful business careers followed including sales, law enforcement and loss prevention. He is now retired and living in Savannah, Georgia with Kim, his wife and high school sweetheart. Chip has two daughters, Allison and Katie, and two grandsons, Logan and Landon.
