The Little Matzah Ball Who Wanted to Be a Meatball
The book's food puns and relatable message that everyone belongs will be a familiar flavor for adults and kids who know what it feels like to be different. I'm a first-time author, who grew up as one of the only Jewish kids in a predominantly Italian neighborhood. Fast forward 30 years, and my co-author and Italian wife and I have been blessed with a Pizza Bagel of our own. One of the major goals of this story is to teach children that it's ok to be unique, and that you should take pride in the distinct traits that make you special. Aaron Pickus and Marissa Sala Pickus are first-time authors and new parents to a beautiful baby boy, Harrison Walter. They live in Rockville Centre, New York and enjoy eating pasta, binging bad reality tv and playing with their sweet mini goldendoodle, Maisie.
