"Don't get captured," is retired NFL coach Golden Pat Ruel's life motto. Don't get captured by a toxic culture, things you can't control, or even by your own negative attitude.

The conviction served him well during his decades-long football career, which culminated in the Seattle Seahawks' landslide victory in the 48th Super Bowl.
