Derrick Haddox is the founder of Derrick Haddox Ministries, a multi-cultural, non-denominational ministry dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is an author, creative speaker and entrepreneur who thoroughly enjoys sharing the Word of God and his experiences. Derrick was 23 years old, when he answered his call to the ministry. While waiting on God to reveal His plan, Derrick preached to rocks, chairs, trees, walls, and whoever and whatever would listen to him. During this process, he realized that God had given him the gift of revelation knowledge. As such, Derrick's perspective of the Word gives him a distinct insight into various biblical characters and the scriptures as a whole. He teaches on topics in series such as "Life in the Supernatural" or "Ownership versus Possession" to provide a practical understanding to solve everyday issues. Although the foundation of every message is built on the love of God, his unique presentation style keeps individuals of all ages on the edge of their seat. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Derrick Haddox grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago. He was inspired and influenced by his parents, brothers, and family friend who served as his role models and mentors. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Derrick later earned his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law. Derrick Haddox served as an Elder, Youth Minister and Pastor's Adjutant for several years at Evangelistic Crusaders C.O.G.I.C. His passion for God's people led him to serve as a cook for prayer breakfasts, teach youth to perform in the arts, perform church rallies, and counsel couples seeking to marry. Derrick currently resides in Chicago where he married his college sweetheart Velisha, and are the parents of three phenomenal children. He has been practicing law for ten years and is currently a Partner at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP.
