Nelson, Alecia: - Alecia Nelson, born in Minnesota in 1964. Alecia grew up in Malibu, California and a young child and adult. She had a drive for fitness as a teenage and excelled sports. She competed in tennis, triathlons and cycling and raised tens of thousands of dollars through sports to help fight breast cancer for the Susan G Koman and AIDS/Lifecycle. Alecia had a career in personal training, assisted in rehabilitation, managing private fitness gyms and exercise classes for over 25 years in Malibu, California. With a passion for animals during Alecia's career she had the opportunity to moved to Freeport, Maine in 2010 to open a 5 acre ranch and manage a successful dog boarding/dog training facility.In 2012 Alecia adopted a cute, little white pug called 'Gidget'. In 2014 Alecia made the decision to move back to sunny Southern California in search of a new adventure accompanied with Gidget.Little did Alecia know that moving back to California would be a life changing moment as Gidget was destined to become a world champion surf dog and social media superstar known as 'Surf Gidget The Pug'.
