The kingdom of Verdonia is a peaceful and happy agricultural land. They are bordered to the east by the kingdom of Lithia, with whom they have traded for centuries, and to the north by the Dragon Lands, where no human ever goes.
Then when the kingdom of Verdonia is unexpectedly plunged into war, there are no good options. Faced with an enemy that they can't defeat and left unaided by the other kingdoms, what are they to do? The King, Royal Sorcerer, High Generals, and other members of the High Council seek a way to save the kingdom. As the rulers search for any feasible solutions, one chance is found.

But it comes at a heavy cost.
Can desperate circumstances justify committing an unspeakable atrocity?
