Nicholeen Peck is the mother of four and previous foster parent of many difficult and troubled teens. The Peck family's success with these difficult children was based upon calmness, the principles of self government, and good communication. She has been teaching people around the world the principles of Self-Government since 1999. She recently returned from a Self-Government teaching tour in China. In 2009, Nicholeen and her family were featured in a one hour BBC documentary about parenting. She has appeared on various news shows and radio programs to discuss effective parenting. She is a popular public speaker, author of the books, Parenting a House United, Londyn LaRae Says Okay, many magazine articles, and a blog called Teaching Self Government. Since 1999 she has been teaching families about Teaching Self-Government principles. At first she just spoke at conferences and seminars. Then she added audio classes and books, with more on the way. But, even though she had all these great products, many people still wanted more. They email her and say, "Nicholeen, can you come visit our house and help us master self-government too?" SherLynne M. Beach is the happy wife of a great man, mother of two girls and an active boy, as well as a step-mother/-grandmother of many others. Deeply concerned about the state of families today, SherLynne co-founded Success Families, Inc. to bring together the best of the best for the purpose of strengthening families in these trying times. Her upbringing in a family of six siblings with frequent foster siblings and international students, coupled with her time living abroad, her experiences in the wilderness working with troubled youth and working in residential treatment settings, teaching children in at-risk schools, and her current life as a mom, step-mom, and step-grandma, has emphasized ('in technicolor') many of the difficulties families navigate today and is the driving force for promoting what makes families succeed in our trying times.
