In this book, we will look at six major areas that each member needs to be prepared in before separating or retiring. Those main areas include education, certification, networking, financial responsibility, requesting Veterans Administration benefits, and how to job search.

It is my personal belief that these six areas cannot be ignored or left to someone else to figure out for you because not having a plan on how to deal with each one of these areas will lead you to be unprepared, waste time, and create unnecessary stress that could have been planned years before your separation.
