Tо̄ta and Kurо̄maru are on a date! Is their partner-ship about to blossom into a romantic bond? Sadly, as the two confront the nature of their relationship, they are rudely interrupted by the Fushi-Gari, immortal hunters from the Shinmei. In order to complete their preparations to destroy Ialda, the Fushi-Gari must perform a ritual that requires Kurо̄maru, and Kurо̄maru's own brother is among those leading the hunt! Kurо̄maru's immortality is at stake as Tо̄ta faces off against an entire clan devoted to destroying immortals.
