Wandering Off: Nature's Notable Nourishments

Growing up in the mountains of southwestern Colorado, Jeannie O. Harsha learned, early on, how to be still enough to savor what she describes as the "hushed and gentle moments." Poetry became, for her, a way of naming, celebrating, and sharing the small beauties found in such moments. In this collection of wonders, she pauses to notice a hawk on a fence post, a flock of wild turkeys on the run, the eye of a whale. She praises rainbow and moon phases that "move us and mend us."
