One typical morning as we were dashing about getting ready for breakfast, watching for the school bus, and grabbing lunches, 7-year-old Frankie asked that very pertinent question to us while pointing at our two Golden retrievers. "Hey, Mom, what do you think Bailey and Kayla do all day when they are home alone?" I immediately responded without skipping a beat, "Oh they relax and sleep on their pillows all day, I'm sure."

Not true.

Whether you live in a rural town like us where everyone has a least three dogs or in a city where you may have one dog or a couple of smaller ones in your family, the question is there.

"What do the dogs do all day while I am at school?"

This is the whimsical story of what perhaps happens while our families are at work and school and our beloved dogs are home alone all day.

Their antics may surprise you, and will certainly make you laugh, as you come to the realization that our four-legged family members are very similar to us! And while we are thinking they are sleeping soundly waiting for that front door to open at the end of the day, they are most likely exhausted from all of the fun and excitement from their adventure-packed day.
