When We Believed in Dragons
When We Believed in Dragons
There is no God of Love. For love cannot be controlled.
Gods and mortals do not fall in love. With the years never changing, gods remain in their temples while mortals live out their shortened lives separated from the immortals. But there were gods who didn't hold to this rule, and demigods were born.
While Bashima and Alaric deal with a new wrinkle in their marriage and Alaric journeys to find another dragon-touched, two more couples draw scrutiny and ire from their world.
Bell Cypress, the Forest God, and Oken have been together for hundreds of years as the only god and demigod pair. Some see them as an oddity where others feel they're an ideal couple. However, their solid relationship is rocked by one simple question from Oken: "Why aren't we married?"
Meanwhile, Lightning God Raijin Cabari courts disaster and Jace, the God of the Dead's only son. As a demigod, Jace is unsure how long Cabari will stick around. Will the day soon come when his eye is drawn to his next conquest?
With a growing darkness looming in the distance, can the world of gods and mortals finally meet in the middle?
