Why? She's hopelessly in love with Tripp Nightshade, the town's charismatic rebel, whose rugged allure and mischievous spirit attract her like a moth to an LED porch light. He, however, seems impervious to her lackluster charms.
When a pair of mysterious purple boots appear on her doorstep, Elara can't resist trying them on. One daring step later, she's got a wicked new attitude and a reckless plan to catch Tripp's eye. But along with her wild streak comes a snowstorm of chaos, and their town teeters on the brink of a calamitous Christmas.
As Elara and Tripp fight the impending disaster, she begins to realize that love isn't about being perfect-it's about being perfectly daring and embracing her inner weirdo.
