The author, Daniyar Baidaralin, works in the history museum in Qazaqstan. He is a modern scholar, who is also a direct descendant of Qazaq nomads. He is an artist, sculptor, writer, researcher, historical reconstructor and a professional architect. His main areas of interest include Eurasian Nomads, their traditional martial arts, weapons and armor, clothing, equipment, yurts and dwellings, horses and transportation.
