In 2001 Andrew Anthony occupied a comfortable position within the liberal left media. A successful Observer and Guardian journalist, he believed he was on the right side of the argument - the left side. But after the events of 11 September, he noticed that many colleagues and friends seemed determined to understand the perpetrator rather than support the victim.

Foarte echilibrata, ceea ce si lipseste din peisajul politic actual.
Autorul se concentreaza in special pe UK si un pic pe SUA - lucru destul de evident- dar tarile vestice sunt in ultimul timp locul unde se observa cea mai mare prapastie dintre stanga si dreapta si cea mai mica disponibilitate catre dialog.
A fost publicata acum mai bine de un deceniu, unele lucruri nu mai sunt de actualitate, dar mesajul ramane actual: este nevoie de moderatie in politica.
