Lansat în anul 1985, POWER FROM HELL, primul album ONSLAUGHT avea să aibă un impact deosebit, impunându-se rapid pe scena thrash metal aflată în acel moment în plină efervescență.

Practicând un thrash-speed metal feroce şi blasfemic, puternic influenţat de punk metal şi de compatrioţii de la Motorhead, aşa intra pe scena metalică trupa britanică ONSLAUGHT. Cu siguranţă, numeroase trupe, şi mă gândesc în primul rând la Sepultura cu al său EP Bestial Devastaion (1985) datorează ceva trupei ONSLAUGHT.
