Looking at art with Alex Katz este o carte- fereastră pe care o dată ce o deschizi, pătrunzi într-un univers al artelor vizuale și al dialogului.
Este o lecție total neconvențională despre bucuria de a descoperii sensul imaginilor create de artiști încă din preistorie până în contemporan; o provocare pentru cititor, deoarece modul atât de lejer al artistului Alex Katz de a prezenta acest canon personal de creații vizuale, frizează timpul. Practic, cartea se transformă într-o punte care elimină oricefel de date ale timpului, astfel încât toate imaginile devin contemporane.
